Silestone is a composite material based on quartz particulates (94 %), polymer resins and pigments. Quartz is one of the nature’s most durable materials, both in terms of hardness and resistance to exterior factors (acid, scratches or impact).
By combining natural quartz with the polymer resins, we create Silestone slabs, a material that adds superior technical qualities to the natural beauty of the stone. Available in over 60 colors and different textures, Silestone offers a wide variety of decorative options and can be easily integrated in any style of interior design.
Silestone is an excellent choice for residential and commercial buildings, providing beauty, elegance and durability. Here are some of the reasons why you should choose Silestone countertops for your remodeling projects:
Due to its qualities (durability, functionality, versatility and aesthetic appeal), we recommend Silestone for:
Silestone countertops are available in standard dimensions: ¾” and 1 ¼’ thickness, 60 inch width and 122 inch length. There are over 60 colors available and a wide range of textures, to accommodate all tastes and interior design aspirations.
We suggest you select your Silestone countertop edges based on your esthetic, safety issues and practicality. If your family has children, or you are concerned with safety, a more rounded edge design like a bullnose or ogee may be more practical. In general, the more intricate the design, the more complicated the cleaning and the higher fabrication costs.
We can produce two different thicknesses of slabs for Silestone countertops: 3/4″ (2cm), and 1-1/4″ (3cm). It is possible to go for a 3/4″ + 3/4″ (2cm + 2cm) edge, thereby giving the impression of 1-1/2″ (4cm) thick stone (a narrow piece of 3/4″ -2cm- is laminated on to the underside of the 3/4″ -2cm- slab along the edge).
